This new West Coast Mexican lager might just be the perfect FIFA World Cup drink. Nodding to the tournament’s three hosting countries — Canada, the United States and Mexico — the beer is a collaboration between Calgary’s Cabin Brewing Company, Headlands Brewing in California and Rey Arbol Cerveza Artesenal in Jalisco. Try it on tap in Cabin’s taproom or pick up a pack to enjoy at home during one of the games.

Dog Days, Calgary’s first hot dog festival, is on now until June 6, so it’s not too late to try a creative hot dog from one of the 45 participating local restaurants and breweries. We’ve got our eye on the truffled carbonara hot dog from Posto, which features a hot dog with spaghetti, bacon, carbonara sauce, truffle pecorino, pickled shallot and caramelized onion in between a garlic-brushed brioche bun. $1 from each hot dog sold will go to the Pet Access League Society.

American burger chain Shake Shack recently opened its first Alberta location in Calgary, and weeks later, diners are still lining up to get their hands on the brand’s burgers and shakes. One particularly notable item is the Prairie Berry Shake, an Alberta-exclusive menu item made with Saskatoon berries sourced from Prairie Berries in Saskatchewan.
