Haunted Mini Golf

When: Thursdays to Sundays from September 19 to October 31, 2025

Enjoy a round of family-friendly mini-golf at Winsport’s 18-hole outdoor course. The course will be transformed into a Halloween-inspired set-up, and guests of all ages are encouraged to dress in their favourite costume. You can book your tee times in advance, or simply walk in.

Featuring more than 10,000 hand-carved pumpkins, this family-friendly, self-paced walk displays classic Halloween characters, pop culture icons, dinosaurs and more. Witness amazing pumpkin sculptures come to life, or grab some hot chocolate and watch a pumpkin carving demonstration.

Calgary Ghost Tours

When: Various dates until November 1, 2025

Walking through some of Calgary’s oldest neighbourhoods and hearing ghost stories from the experts is possibly one of the scariest ways to spend an evening this Halloween season. Calgary Ghost Tours will walk you through Inglewood, Kensington or downtown on Fridays, Saturdays and some Sunday evenings. This year, October 31 is set aside for tours of Inglewood starting at Rosso Coffee.

Black Lagoon Pop-up

When: October 1 to November 1, 2025

The team at Charlie’s Watch Repair, which is hidden inside Salt & Brick restaurant, is hosting a special Halloween cocktail pop-up experience. Along with Halloween-themed cocktails, expect decorations, actors dressed up in costumes and plenty of music.

Ricardo’s Nightmare Before Christmas Pop-up

When: October 1 to November 2, 2025

If you’ve ever visited the fun and festive Sippin’ Santa holiday pop-up bar at Ricardo’s Hideaway before, you’ll be happy to hear the local restaurant offers a Halloween-themed pop-up bar experience as well. Ricardo’s Nightmare Before Christmas pop-up promises plenty of Halloween decor to enjoy while sipping on inventive cocktails.

Train of Terror at Aspen Crossing

When: October 2, 2025 and every Friday and Saturday until November 1, 2025

The Train of Terror is a two-hour experience that takes you through three haunted mazes and a 1.5 hour train-ride, complete with food and drinks for purchase. Guests who make it through the mazes can unwind onboard with a drink before facing one final scare. This 18+ event promises plenty of frights along the way.

Field of Screams

When: October 10, 11, 17, 18, 24 and 25, 2025; adult night is on October 16

Dare to roam 20 acres of Cobb’s Adventure Park at night during this Halloween-inspired outdoor event from Screamworks Inc., the makers of ScreamFest. Visit six themed haunted houses or join in on activities like archery tag or mini-golf. Expect rides, games and more for the whole family. October 16 is a scarier night for adults only.

The Confluence’s Creepy Tales & Cocktails events are 18+ nights full of stories about crime and ghosts. Expect a 90-minute walking tour through Inglewood and the surrounding area, uncovering stories of hauntings and murders from Calgary’s past.

Heritage Park’s Ghouls’ Night Out returns with Halloween characters, interactive games, crafts and more. Leading up to Halloween, catch one of the multiple Plaza Theatre screenings of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, a classic flick that has developed a cult following. Tomkins Park along 17th Avenue S.W. will be full of Halloween activity during A Carnival of Curiosities. The free celebration features performances and activities like fire performers from Le Cirque de la Nuit, a dog costume contest, a Monsters Ball LED Dance Party, trick-or-treating and more.

The Dash of Doom

When: October 25, 2025

This year’s family- and pet-friendly Halloween race offers something for everyone, with a one-kilometre kids race, five-kilometre walk/run and 10-kilometre run. This run supports the Alberta Animal Rescue Society, a charity that raises funds to improve the lives of abandoned or abused animals.

When: October 25, 2025

Calgary Underground Film Festival is one of the best at curating horror classics. To mark Halloween, it’s pulling another all-nighter with 12 hours of back-to-back scary movies. The marathon starts at 7 p.m. and goes until 7 a.m.

Ghosts and Gourmet

When: October 27 to 30, 2025

This annual Halloween event at Heritage Park mixes good food with a few ghost stories and a ghost tour. You’ll start the evening with a three-course dinner at the Wainwright Hotel interspersed with ghost stories. After dinner, there’s an outdoor ghost tour around Heritage Park. The tour is led by a guide and stories are based on personal experiences and encounters staff have had.
