5 Fun Spots to Go Bowling in Calgary

Whether you’re looking for a date night activity or a lively night out with friends, bowling can be just the thing when you’re craving a bit of competitive fun. There are a number of cool places to go bowling in the city, with five-pin or 10-pin options in immersive entertainment centres, local bars and more. These are just some of the spots you can try on your next night out.
The Banquet
The Banquet has bowling at both of its Calgary locations. At the Mahogany location (which offers bowling shoe rentals), each 10-pin bowling lane accommodates up to eight players with prices ranging from $40 to $60 depending on the day. The University District location offers duckpin bowling ($10 per hour), where guests play with smaller pins, balls and lanes without the need for bowling shoes. Both locations offer $2 bowling all day on Mondays, on a first come, first serve basis.

For $60 per hour, up to eight players can play at a lane, with $5 bowling shoes available for rent. Book online or come in Saturday and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. and get two free items off the brunch menu when you purchase one hour of bowling.

The bowling alleys feature 10-pin bowling and the ability to order food and drinks straight to your lane. Depending on the location, prices vary depending on player age ranges or game lengths. All locations offer glow-in-the-dark bowling on Saturdays and Sundays starting at 1 p.m.
