5 Things We’re Excited to Eat and Drink This November
Novella Small Hazy IPA from Cabin Brewing Company

Cabin Brewing Company was just named Brewery of the Year (along with Ol’ Beautiful Brewing Company) at the 2025 Alberta Beer Awards. That means there’s no better time to revisit this popular brewery and try its latest beer, a hazy IPA called Novella. Between the citrus and tropical fruit flavour notes and the book-inspired can design, you won’t want to put this beer down. Try it on tap at Cabin’s taproom or pick some up at a local retailer.

Add a splash of purple to your morning with the ube French toast from this newly opened Filipino restaurant in Inglewood. This dish takes the purple yam to the next level with ube ice cream, ube cream cheese filling and an ube cream, which is then topped off with seasonal fruit.

End your meal at this new bistro with one of its three tempting dessert offerings: A lime leaf pavlova, moelleux au chocolate or NY banana cheesecake. We’ve got our eye on the last one, which features a miso caramel drizzle and a brûléed banana on top.

Matcha Tres Leches from Orijins

A new restaurant drawing inspiration from Nikkei cuisine, Orijins is garnering lots of buzz in Calgary’s dining scene already. After tucking into dishes like red prawn ceviche, patatas bravas and crispy pork belly, finish the night off with the matcha tres leches. The matcha sponge cake is soaked in milk, condensed milk and coconut cream and finished with a generous sprinkling of toasted coconut for a memorable end to the evening.
