Watch new and up-and-coming artists perform their shows at the 20th annual Calgary Fringe Festival. Edmonton brewery Sea Change recently opened a new Calgary taproom called Skelly Club. Cheer on Calgary’s women’s soccer team

The Greenview Industrial T2E (Tango 2 Echo) Festival is unlike any other festival in the city. Combining customized car and motorbike shows with festival staples like an artisan market, live music, public art and more, T2E offers a unique way to spend your long weekend. The first day of the festival takes place in the evening, taking advantage of the dark skies for events like a drive-in movie and glow art. The next day, head back to the festival for daytime events including a pet market, poster show and puppet show.

Roller Palace has a special event in store for this long weekend. On Sunday, head over in the afternoon for Soul Sunday, when you’ll get to skate around to R&B, funk, hip hop, afrobeats and house jams. Then, from 8 p.m. to midnight, the theme changes to an 18+ skate party with ‘90s R&B.

Go karting down a thrilling 1.8-kilometre track

Chase some thrills with Downhill Karting before the karting season ends in October. Get into a kart and fly down a 1.8-kilometre track with plenty of twists and turns along the way. It’s a ton of fun for adults and kids alike. Children ages six and older can ride in their own kart, and younger kids can ride with a guardian. Be sure to book ahead of time, because walk-ins are not guaranteed.
