Supporting the work behind the support

For people accessing support after experiencing domestic violence and abuse, practical resources can be an important part of navigating difficult circumstances and moving toward safety.

On Aug. 28, CREB^® REALTORS^® spent time at FearIsNotLove’s Calgary administration office, helping with the organization’s donation program. The 12 volunteers moved and unpacked boxes, sorted donations and organized resources for clients utilizing program services. 

For REALTORS^®, it was an opportunity to contribute in a direct and practical way to an organization supporting people affected by domestic violence and abuse. The work may have happened behind the scenes, but it supported the day-to-day efforts that help FearIsNotLove deliver its programs and services. 

The day was another opportunity for CREB^® REALTORS^® to support FearIsNotLove following their involvement earlier this year in completing the organization’s Outdoor Oasis at its Emergency Shelter. That project was supported through a 2025 CREB^® REALTOR^® Community Foundation Transformation Grant. 

From helping improve the spaces where community organizations deliver their services to contributing time where it is needed, REALTORS^® can make an impact in different ways.
