If there was ever a time to go out for some pasta, it’s this month during Pasta La Feasta.

Running from October 1 to 31 (which also happens to be National Pasta Month), this food festival features special pasta creations from 12 Calgary restaurants, as well as one in Banff. When you order one of the featured dishes in October, $3 will go towards supporting The Alex Community Food Centre.

There are a wide range of pasta dishes to choose from this year, which draw on the chefs’ favourite movie, literature and TV show dishes. The featured pasta dishes range from a Moby Dick-inspired chowder di vongole at Klein/Harris to a gnocchi and braised rabbit dish at River Café that nods to The Lord of the Rings. The full list of participating restaurants and their featured pasta dishes is available online.
