Fernieās family-friendly annual celebration is centered around the Griz, a creature of legend and myth in the Fernie area thatās associated with snow and winter fun. This yearās events include pub trivia, a vintage pop-up shop (this yearās theme is āvintage formalā), the Griz Days parade, fireworks and more.
Attend the Pride & Ski Festival in Panorama

Head to Panorama Mountain Resort for the annual Pride & Ski Festival to celebrate the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and promote inclusive mountain culture. The festival event calendar includes three days of activities on and off the slopes, like a Trivia Night at the Jackpine Pub, a kickoff party with DJ Laela and a Drag Ball featuring Jujubee from RuPaulās Drag Race and RuPaulās Drag Race All Stars.

Enjoy the season at the Banff Winter Carnival
When: Now until March 31
The first Banff Winter Carnival was held in 2017, and this year, it returns to the Cave and Basin National Historic Site with family-friendly, all-ages activities and games. Play box hockey or mini curling and see vintage films and photos from the carnivals of the 1920s. The cost is included with admission to the historic site or with a Discovery Pass.

See the Facing Photographs Exhibit in Banff

When: Now until May 4
Artist Rosalie Favellās exhibit, Facing Photographs, features 13 photo, video and other media works from Favellās larger series, Facing the Camera. The series features some of the visiting Indigenous artists and art workers Favell met while in residency at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity in 2008, as well as those from Canada, Australia and the United States. You can see the exhibition, which is presented in partnership with the Exposure Photography Festival, at the newly renovated Walter Phillips Gallery for free.
