Where to See Holiday Light Displays in Calgary

by avenuecalgary

With the holidays just around the corner, seasonal light displays are starting to pop up. While there are resources like Lighten Up Calgary that will help you find some of the most extravagantly decorated houses around the city, you can also immerse yourself in one of the larger light displays that span entire communities or businesses.

Here are a few of those show-stopping light displays that will be set up around Calgary this year.

Zoolights at the Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo

When: November 14, 2025 to January 4, 2026

Zoolights is back for its 29th year at the Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo. This holiday tradition features tons of light displays around the grounds, plus plenty of activities happening nightly. Expect fire pits, photo ops, axe-throwing, a 100-foot light tunnel and more.

The zoo also offers a special Sunlight to Zoolights admission ticket that allows access to the grounds from 1 p.m. into the evening to experience everything the zoo has to offer.

Enchanted Festival at Spruce Meadows

Spruce Meadows has previously done a drive-thru holiday lights experience, but this year, it’s offering something new. Enchanted Festival is a walking lights experience where guests can discover dazzling outdoor light displays on foot. When you need to warm up, head to the indoor experience in the Equi-Plex, which features snacks and drinks, an indoor Christmas lights maze, family-friendly movies and more.
