YYC Food & Drink Experience Showcases Calgary’s Exciting Dining Scene

Do you love food? Is eating out more than just a good meal to you, it’s about the whole theatrical experience? If so, then YYC Food & Drink Experience (YYC EXP) is for you. From March 14 to 30, this culinary festival is celebrating all that Calgary’s dining scene has to offer with prix-fixe menus at some of the city’s hottest restaurants and special culinary events.
YYC EXP consists of two types of experiences: One aspect of the festival features multi-course, prix-fixe menus from more than 100 Calgary restaurants. Stop by any of the participating restaurants during the festival for a three-course lunch or brunch menu ($25 or $35), a three-course dinner ($35 or $45) and/or a gourmet tasting menu experience ($65 or $75). These menus are a great way to experience something different at an old favourite, or try out a new spot you’ve had your eye on for a great price. Some restaurants will also have special happy hour deals during YYC EXP.
The second part of YYC EXP is the signature culinary events featuring chef and restaurant collaborations and special one-time dining experiences. This year’s events range from a Korean-Filipino collaboration dinner between SOT and Hawthorn Dining Room & Bar to a sugar shack-themed event at Bar Chouette with Canmore’s Änkôr.
Visit yycexp.com for a full list of participating restaurants and experiences.
