Learn to bake macarons 

On February 19, discover the history of the macaron and how to achieve the perfect shell with a private class at Ollia. The pastry chef will guide you through the proper macaronage techniques and help you bake about 25 macarons to take home. You can expect a few of Ollia’s macarons and tea during the break, a PDF recipe book to help you bake at home and a 15 per cent discount on boutique merchandise the night of your class.

A-List experiences are exclusive and reserved for only a select few, so events sell out fast. Various February events, such as a premium Champagne tasting, the world premiere of The Tale of the Gifted Prince and access to a VIP suite at Skijordue, have already sold out.

Learn what’s happening at Avenue

Meet some of Avenue’s editors, share your feedback on what you’d like to see in the magazine and snack on some tasty bites at Sub Rosa. The event is from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
