Every July, Calgary’s annual Latin festival, Fiestaval, rolls into town with an exuberant celebration of Latin culture. The three-day fiesta takes over Eau Claire Plaza with more than 30 authentic food vendors, each cooking up a different take on traditional Latin fare. Enjoy hundreds of local and international performers like professional dancers and musicians, as well as an artisan market.
Visit Inglewood Night Market
July 10 and August 14
Nestled in the heart of Inglewood, this beloved annual outdoor night market is back. Spend hours browsing booths with vintage clothing, crochet accessories, handmade soaps and more long after the summer sun has set. Check out local food and beverage vendors and enjoy live music by local talent all evening long.
Feast at Taste of Calgary
July 30 to August 3
Get ready for a mouth-watering summer with Taste of Calgary. The annual food festival is one of the city’s most appetizing events, featuring celebrated restaurants, marketplace vendors and beverage companies serving up global cuisine and freshly distilled sips that take the edge off the summer heat. Buy your $1 taste tickets ahead of time to savour your way through the delicious lineup.
Cycle the pathways
Get on two wheels and enjoy approximately 1,000 kilometres of City-maintained regional pathways — Calgary has the most extensive urban pathway and bikeway network in North America. Don’t have a bike? Rent from Joe’s Garage, a downtown bike shop with easy access to the Bow River Pathway. Or try Bow Cycle in East Village for a rentable e-bike.
